Tooling Development Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and optimize tooling solutions ensuring technical and economic feasibility;
- Define tooling concepts and full technical specifications based on product and process requirements;
- Coordinate tool development, testing and optimization with suppliers and internal teams;
- Monitor tooling manufacturing, delivery and commissioning;
- Support production plants in tooling-related issues and industrialization;
- Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments for new products and technologies;
- Analyze design changes and define technical solutions;
- Contribute to cost evaluation and support cost optimization initiatives (Cost Down);
- Participate in project teams and support project milestones and implementation;
- Ensure proper transfer of tooling solutions into serial production and SOP readiness;
- Act as technical interface between suppliers, production, quality and development teams.
YOUR PROFILE
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field;
- 5+ years of experience in Tooling / Injection Molding;
- Strong knowledge of tooling design and manufacturing processes (injection molds);
- Experience with industrialization and supplier coordination;
- Technical understanding of materials, plastics processing and tooling technologies;
- Experience with problem-solving tools (FMEA, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma);
- Very good English skills (written and spoken);
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities;
- Good communication and teamwork skills;
- Willingness to travel;
- Ability to work under pressure and take technical decisions.
