Painting Process Engineer (m/f/d)
About the Role
We are looking for a Painting Process Engineer to join our team at Preh Portugal (Trofa) and support the definition, optimization, and continuous improvement of our painting processes. You will play a key role in ensuring product quality, industrializing new products, and driving process excellence within our Paint Shop.
The Challenges in Front of You:
• Develop and optimize painting processes, parameters, and production standards
• Support the introduction and validation of new products and references
• Create and maintain work instructions and technical documentation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and productivity
• Analyze process issues and implement corrective actions
• Support production teams with training and technical expertise
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and 5S standards
What You Bring to the Table:
You are more than your resume, you are analytical, proactive, and passionate about manufacturing excellence. To succeed in this role, you bring:
• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Chemical, Polymers, Materials, or similar)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment (painting/coating processes are a plus)
• Knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
• Fluency in English
• Strong communication, analytical, and continuous improvement skills
• Fluent English for daily interaction in an international environment
