Mechanical Design Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and implementation of mechanical design solutions based on defined concepts and project requirements;
- CAD design and development of components and assemblies for HMI products using CATIA V5;
- Creation, review and release of 2D drawings, taking into consideration applicable standards and applying GD&T concepts in the creation process.
- Preparation and maintenance of project documentation, such as component lists, technical reports and presentations;
- Consideration of component and product-specific requirements during design activities;
- Support in theoretical verification activities, including tolerance calculations and simulations;
- Participation in testing activities and evaluation of test results;
- Support in the approval, optimization and modification of components and assemblies throughout the development process;
- Processing and maintenance of relevant engineering data and documentation in SAP;
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure product requirements are fulfilled;
- Contribution to the continuous improvement of design methods, standards and internal departmental processes;
- Technical support for project team members in assigned development activities.
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field;
- Good knowledge of 3D and 2D design using CATIA V5;
- Strong technical understanding and analytical thinking skills;
- Structured and solution-oriented working approach;
- Good spatial awareness and understanding of mechanical systems;
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams;
- Experience in the automotive industry, preferably in interior components or HMI products;
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably with plastic or die-cast components;
- Good command of English; German language skills are considered an advantage.
Please note: This position is available in Iasi or Brasov and requires regular onsite presence at one of our offices. A hybrid working model can be arranged based on team and project needs. Therefore, applications are welcomed from candidates based in, or willing to relocate to, Iasi or Brasov.
